According to Shawn Achor’s book The Happiness Advantage, “small changes ripple outward.”
Consider taking part in the Happiness Advantage Challenge. By participating, you can rewire the way your brain approaches the world. It actually helps you see the world from a happier perspective.
For 21 days consistently do the following:
- Write down three things you are grateful for. This trains your brain to find the positives in life.
- Write down one positive experience you have had within the last 24 hours. This provides your brain to ability to re-visit a positive experience.
- Exercise 20 minutes each day. This tells your brain that what you are physically doing matters.
- Meditation for five minutes with uninterrupted quiet time helps reduce stress.
- Random Acts of Kindness by emailing, texting, or leaving a note, praising or thanking someone, creates positive interactions and spreads joy.
When you are happy, Dopamine is released, and this allows for mental clarity and the ability to see greater possibilities.
